Understandable - component availability has evolved a lot over almost 10 years. Even so we had to develop the winch drives in-house (using motors configured for us), work out all of the lubrication, cooling, power management, invest in the cable-making gear, software and so-on. The R&D began during covid, to give you an idea of the challenge this presented. As I see it, there's a certain size/kw, below which hydraulics make more sense and above where mechanical or electric does. The latter is our specialty and we're in a time where mechanical powertrain is giving way to electric due to simplicity, durability and, most importantly, power.
