Hi everyone in the group, I’m having an issue with my Volvo EW160B wheeled excavator. It’s throwing error code MID 140 SID 231 FMI 9, which from what I can tell is related to a J1939 communication failure between the ECUs (like the instrument cluster not getting updates from the engine ECU). The machine is running rough overall, and when I switch to manual mode, it stops the rough engine behavior but then the RPMs rev way too high. I’ve checked the basics like connections and wiring, but no luck so far. Has anyone dealt with this code on an EW160B or similar Volvo model? Any tips on troubleshooting the CAN bus, harness issues, or potential fixes? Appreciate any help! Thanks!
