http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFf7S2KrfPM&feature=related our steam roller .this was the day we drove her home to my yard approx 6 miles it was nerve racking but man when we eventually backed her in to the barn and sat there drinking tea and watching her simmer quietly on tick over it was worth it
If you want to dig into the history of John Fowler & Sons see if you can get hold of a copy of "The Story of the Steam Plough Works". It's a good read. A mate of my old man had both a pair of Fowler 10 NHP ploughing engines (and the ploughs to go with them) also a Fowler showman's road locomotive .... I think it was this one although it was a few years ago and the engine may well have changed hands since then. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25459770@N03/4866956208/ http://www.steamploughclub.org.uk/Archive Pictures.htm http://www.amazon.co.uk/STORY-STEAM-PLOUGH-WORKS-FOWLERS/dp/0852984146
