I recently picked up a hough ha. Sweet little toy. Needs work for sure. Clutch pedal doesnt go down. Looks like throw out bearing shaft is rusted in. My main question....what fluid needs to go in by the torque converter??? Searched high and low but can't find the answer. Any and all help appreciated
Can't speak from any direct knowledge of the HA. But did work on several of the bigger Hough Payloaders of the 1960 and up vintage and those had transmissions that used ATF Dexron oil in them. So if the oil in it right now is red I would venture a guess that i what has been in there.
In the transmission and by the torque converter? It appears they are in separate compartments.
Like I said I know nothing of the HA, the ones I worked on were all H90,H100, H120, 540, 560 and H400's
