1985 Case SE 4×4 oil leak through steering column tube

Oil just started leaking through the steering column tube and leaking under the steering wheel centre button. What is involved in repairing this? Does the whole control valve have to be removed? Or can the column be removed and replace a seal? Kind a strange place to have an oil leak...
