Looking for a starter mines not repairable
There should be a stamped number on the starter case. Find that number and put it in a google search
The FD5 utilises the model 8045 Fiat engine, there are plenty of aftermarket starters available for them. Just check the specifications between your starter, and the one you're preparing to purchase. Specs that need to be checked - Voltage, Tooth count, overall dimensions, nose cone dimensions, number of bolts and position of bolts - whether the nose is rotatable or fixed, and if fixed, is the solenoid clear of any obstructions when fitted?
