1988 Duo-Pact SDR 1400 hydrostatic rear drive Compactor/Roller – HELP!

Got a 1988 Duo-Pact SDR 1400 hydrostatic roller that is dragging the left rear wheel. Thinking maybe a brake is on or just locked up from age and sitting. Being a 1988 there are no labels are on the controls so I don't what I'm dealing with. Needless to say with Duo-Pact our of business there are no on line Owners manuals or parts books. Does anyone know: 1) What might be causing the drive wheel to be locked up? 2) What the Knob on the Dash to the left of the Steering Wheel is? (This unit has a bolt welded to it rather than a knob) and feels like a hydraulic valve so I'm thinking is it the control for the drum vibrator. 3) What the toggle switch on the dash to the right of idiot lights is?

to answer your question, the knob to the left of the steering wheel is your brake valve, pushed in applies the brake, out is off. the wheel can be locking up for a couple reasons. either the brake has failed or the motor is going bad. toggle switch on the dash by the idiot light is the vibrator. Again if you have questions i would love to help.

Hey Clint I have a Duopact 1400 Can you get a manual for that? We have owned it for 10 years and just figured out that is the brake valve. It must cut hydraulic pressure to the drive wheels and apply a brake?
