This is on a 410d backhoe, it cranks hard to start, if you pull back on the loader valve handle it spins over and starts fine. I took a look at the hydraulic pump destroke solenoid and it looks like it has been un plugged for 10 years or better, I cleaned the connectors up and plugged it back in and still the same issue. Does anyone know how to test one? I have hooked power to it with it removed , and if I put a screwdriver inside the coil I can feel it slightly pull and magnetize, but it doesn’t seem like it is near strong enough. I just wanted to make sure before I spend $180 on a new one and it not be the issue.
does it have a removable plunger? can you install it without the plunger and see if the unloader works?
