I have a 95 champion 720, have a noise coming from wing side and checked front drive wheel and have slight play in bearing. Growl doesn’t sound to me like a bearing noise, sounds more like one of the braces for the wing is loose. Checked everything and only thing I can find is slight movement in front drive axle. Anyone had this issue?
Not specifically. Can you raise up that side and spin the wheels up in the air? With the aid of a stethoscope or some other similar device you may be able to determine if it is a bearing noise. As for wing mounts look for shiny metal and or rusts trails from the various attachment points also loose hardware.
could the noise be coming from the park brake?
There should be any play in wheel. Check to make sure there is no snow or ice built up between wing brace mount and cab this usually happening when bought in side for a while and then taken back out be for it is fully thawed out. Also check the rear draw pin
