2000 TA 40 Haul truck broken front yoke

I have a 2000 TA 40 Terex haul truck that keeps breaking the yoke on the front drive shaft. Can someone please offer some input into why this keeps happening. It's the short shaft going from the front differential back to the transfer case. It just demolished a brand new U-joint and sheared the bolts on the yoke where it goes into the transfer case. Baffeling and expensive. Please help. Thank you

It sounds like you are running with the the front drive locked into the rears all the time. Check your middle lock and make sure it is disconnected for normal operation.

I don't know about the specifics of your particular machine but it sounds like either; A) Something is locking up in the front diff and overloading the shaft, or B) Something in the front suspension is faulty allowing the front axle to move about. This is more likely.
