It came with no operators manual... What is the recommended engine oil? Trying to find it online is not working well for me.
Pretty much any diesel of late uses 15W/40 oil these days.
for winter use I would put 5-40 Rotella syn in it , my Perkins cranks over hard below 20*f with 15-40. anything above 20*f stick with 15-40 , but if its year round winter use spend a few extra dollars and get blue jug Syn oil at wallmart.
Good advice, I try not to start the machine if it below 20 degrees. If I do I have the block oil pan preheated.
