2007 JS160 Excavator

Hello everyone, Looking for some advice on our JS160 excavator that has suddenly stopped working. Faithful machine with minimal upkeep, worked one day stopped the next with a bunch of codes and warnings on the monitor with no idle up. Took it to JCB themselves and have currently replaced the following with no luck: -Monitor -Ecu Once replaced oil pressure sensor warns of no oil pressure. Ecu reads and sends correct oil pressure but monitor thinks there is none. Machines runs for 30s then quits. Was told 40ohm read on the canbus when it should be 60ohm. No explanation as to why. A new wiring harness and new Zuzu motor computer was recommended however still not a guaranteed fix with a 40K cost. Any recommendations would be helpful. Not worth the 40K to put into it unfortunately. Thanks in advance.

How old is the machine? I wouldn't think it needs everything new. Who recommended that, the dealer? I'd get the dealer to contact JCB directly to get an idea what's wrong. Isn't the JCB dealer affiliated with the Bobcat dealer in Edmonton. Would think they'd have a decent tech/mechanic in a fair size dealership.

Hi Dave! Sorry it a 2007. The dealer recommend these fixes to no avail. They’ve contacted all their channels including JCB in the UK and other head mechanics and have come up with no solution. I was told that this year of machine falls within a partnership with Samsung and the wiring is horrendous. That’s about as far as we got.

It's not that old that JCB shouldn't be able to figure out what's wrong.
