When You say the starter Solenoid clicks, is it a separate solenoid on frame or the solenoid on the starter itself that clicks. If the one on starter itself clicks but the starter does not engage , you have either insufficient power, Poor grounding, or faulty starter. What kind worked on the bench. Will try to help if you answer my question. Simon C

Starter is next to solenoid but share the same starter mount still one piece there is small voltage on both solenoid wires when key is turned in the start position 4 to 5 volts showing with a power probe. Thought it might be an ignition switch so that was replaced but no change. Want to check starter relay but not sure of its location in the relay panel near the fuses. Starter part number is 01183714 style can be seen on eBay.

That is a regular starter. You need to do some Digital Volt meter testing before throwing money at it. #1 Test with meter leads stabbing center of battery posts, how low does battery voltage go with key held in start position for lets say 5 sec. #2 Stab center of positive post with red lead and stab center of large Solenoid post that main positive cable attaches to and hold key switch for 5 seconds. #3 Stab center of Negative post with Black lead and Stab somewhere with no paint on starter to frame bolt up with Red Lead while holding start switch for 5 seconds . These three tests will tell us about your battery, positive and negative cables. You may need someone to hold switch for you while doing the test. Please report Back results. Simon C

Sorry just had a chance to get back to the machine (test #1 12.60 volts) (test #2 .7 volts) (test #3 6.7 volts)

Okay. If you held the key switch in the start position as I said for 5 seconds your problem is you have no connection from the starter back to the center of the Negative battery post. That is why the reading is 6.7 volts. Test number 1 the voltage stayed high at 12.6 volts because there was no connection from the starter back to the battery negative. Take a jumper cable and hook it to the starter frame and put the other end of the same cable to the negative post of the battery. If it cranks over with key held in start position for 5 seconds, then you know that your negative cable is junk somewhere. Maybe a rusty connection or cable burned off internally. Let me know what happens. I have seen same problem too many times to mention. Simon C

Thank you for everything roller is now back in service ground cable mount to the frame was nothing but rust behind the cable. removed cable clean services to a shining metal reinstalled and works great thanks again.

As I said , these things are simple to solve when done in a systematic way. I asked you 3 questions, that you brought back the answers for me to know exactly what was happening. Some won't answer the questions and wonder why we can't fix it from here through a crystal ball. Glad it is going for you, any questions , don't be scared to ask. Simon C
