I have a 02 John Deere 230lc just curious what the switch on top of joystick on right side is for can't tell but it's stuck down having problems with two speed on my machine also not sure if this is related thanks.
Not likely a 2 speed switch but I suggest looking in the operator manual behind the seat, or getting one if you don't have one. post the serial number if you want some specific help. Things change across the same model and the serial number is the only good way to get accurate information. It is probably located on a plate out front on the cab next to the left boom cylinder.
The right side joystick has the “Power Boost“ Switch on top. If the switch is stuck down , the PVC (pump valve controller) is likely not allowing the 2 speed travel to go into high speed. Unplug the switch wire harness disconnect at the base of the joystick and see if you gain 2 speed travel.
