S/N cat0259djftl02362 I know I will end up having to take to CAT to hook up to cat ET, but wanted to see what you guys think. Unit will start and run and drive. Once you move the left joystick to turn right the amber driver indicator and engine light also amber will come on solid with no alarm. You can turn the unit off and the lights go off, but once you go to turn right same thing every time. Any insight is greatly appreciated. thanks Kyle
Post a photo of your RH dash panel. There may be a way to get at Diagnostic Codes from that panel.
Unfortunately the machine does not have that second panel. Just went out to check out the machine and now the indicator light is flashing amber with solid engine light and no forward or reverse movement. Also no bucket or arm movement. Checked the web and says that it should be the air filter. it has new air cleaners, sensor and cleaned out that little brass filter as I was having this issue before and it had gone away. This thing has had a hard 1225 hours and its starting to show.....
Start the engine and take a look at the cooling fan. Is it rotating.?
Yes, the fan is working properly.
Could be joystick/calibration related but more than likely it'll probably end up being a speed sensor problem.
I was kind of thinking a joystick/speed sensor issue, but could not really find any information on line in regards to my issue. Any thoughts on the air cleaner indicator light? Would any other issues make that light stay on and be amber? When I had it at my local cat dealer they ended up doing the dpf filter and i had asked about the air cleaner indicator light and they told me there was nothing wrong with the sensor or harness....., but put on a new sensor on any ways. have put about one hour on the machine and still having these issues..... Thanks for the help!!
OK, that means the coupling between the engine and the pumps has not failed.
