I need a new engine in my Cat 262 Has anybody found another motor that will fit in this machine? There is a guy that has a new turbo that says it will work
How did you go I have a 226 with a blown engine and can't access another motor so. Was also looking to see if an alternative motor would fit
Someone ought to come up with a swap kit - mounts and stuff for a replacement engine that wouldn't require modifications of the coolers above. Could potentially sell thousands. So far I've seen three engines stuffed in there - a JD 4 cylinder, a Cummins 4bt, and a Case 209 4 cylinder, with the latter two requiring the coolers to be raised up for clearance issues.
