Welcome to HEF Hh . Does the throttle knob control work when seat is facing forward ?

No from what I’ve been told it is supposed to throttle down when the seat is facing forward

A lot of operators use the throttle knob as a cruise control when roading. When the brakes are applied the engine controller reduces the engine speed to idle. When the brakes are released , the throttle knob has to be cycled to idle and back to high idle. Check if the rear brake lights are continuously on, one of the brake light switches may be defective. .

Brake lights are not on and new to the 310 where would the brake switches be located and what’s the procedure for checking them

Do the rear brake lights work under normal brake application ?

Figured it out it was a bad brake switch and the brake lights were blowed leading me to think at first that it wasn’t a brake switch cause the lights weren’t staying on come to find out they were blowed changed them then they stayed on leading to a bad brake switch installed new switch and the throttle knob works now thank you for the help also

I’m having the same issue on a John Deere 310L ep. Brake lights turn on normal. I changed seat sensor and knob. Any suggestions?

Welcome to HEF Willy17 ! How about posting up the machine serial number. Press and hold the menu button until "SERVICE MENU" appears in the screen. Scroll to diagnostics and press select. Scroll to Electrical/Lights. There should be a reading in there for the brake light switches. Does it say on or fault without touching the pedals? My money is still on the brake switches, if you have the old style switches. Your serial will tell me if you have the old style or the new style.
