Hello sir, I have trouble with my CAT 320D. My oils hydraulic is hot up to 93degC just in less 30minutes. I try to meassure the heat on my machine hydraulic sistem. The tempetarue shown on display and actual is same. No problem with seansor reading. Delta T on oil cooler shown 15degC, the temp after outlet oil cooler is increase up to 10degC in hydraulic oil filter return base. Different temp on hyd tank and main pump is more than 10degC (exempel: 90degC in hyd tank, 100degC in mainpump) infrared temp reading. Please tell me what the cause of my trouble. Any data u want, tell me. Thanks for your time.

Hows the machine performing ? Working with bucket ?

Perform normal when temperature under 90degC. Become slow when temperature going heat. Machine with bucket.

Is the electro viscous fan clutch software set to "high-ambient"? Is this machine even equipped with "high ambient "? How hot is air temperature? When was last time cooler was externally flushed? Any fault codes for fan rpm?

As I recall all the D series machines have a hydraulic fan on a separate oil cooler just behind the cab. Do you have a service manual for the machine? You will need it to check operation and calibration of the fan speed.

    Cooler is next to radiator

Come to think of it, there is an updated fan clutch for some of the serial numbers. As built wiring goes from hub center toward radiator core...updated unit wiring comes out side of hub, and runs outside of fan guard. Updated unit is less sensitive to dirt clogging orifice in clutch assembly. Only necessary to update if original fan fails. I've got at least 5 Cat excavators with that electro viscous fan, and 3 are still original.

I had the same issue. Just had the clutch wire disconnected and the fan started moving at full speed. Its been 4 years now no heating issues.
