Lift loses power as it is moved around such as moving to right or left in the air, it slows down and starts beeping as if batteries are down but they are new and tested. It will sometimes pick back up and start to work again and sometimes will only go in downward movements to set back in the saddle. Anyone have any suggestions on what could cause this action? It would be helpful to know what yr machine this is Also, you probably have already done this but grounds are a common issue on machines like this. We have already had a ground cable almost completely corroded from the inside out. You will not know it until you either pull on it or use the machine but it can't transfer a solid load with something like this in cable. JLG has a quick disconnect that gets corrosion in it - you might check ALL terminals and grounds very well first.
