4x d6d winch fluid

Have ordered a service manual but not received yet-anyone know fluid type for the cat winch and how to check level. Thanks.

    We run 15W40. Should have a plug on the left side sitting in the seat, roughly 10-12" from the bottom of the winch. Remove plug, fill from top until oil reaches the hole. Capacity around 12 gal.
