Our 550 JD dozer has a problem with the forward gear, when it does this it has no or little forward movement. When it works it has all the tranny power needed to work. The reverse gear works fine and engages imediately. If the tranny screen is plugged it should effect both forward and reverse movement...right? We checked the linkage and as far as we can tell it is engaging properly. The pressure gauge does not work. It does this on all terrain, sidehill, level, etc... About 4 years ago we had the reverse clutch pack completely replaced. The forward pack was taken apart and looked good. Any ideas?
