The steering pump was leaking into crankcase but working well. I rebuilt the pump ( cleaned it and installed the parts from a kit ) now the steering is jerky and at standstill almost impossible to turn. Is there a bleed procedure? Any advice would be appreciated.
turn steering wheel all to the left and to right a few times and then refill
I tried that with the wheels off the ground and turned fine, on ground very hard and jerks.
I took the pump apart again and a seal was installed backwards, oops. I think the was in my eyes that day. Thanks for the help, will post again.
