Hoping someone can answer? Starting repairing the transaxle on a 580c. I’m seeing what I think is called spalling on pinion gear, spider gears and on side shafts gears. Pinion is by far the worst. Is this the point right before gear teeth start breaking off or is this common wear on these transaxles. Can’t find much in my searches on this topic. Thanks
Yeah that could be an issue later down the road. If you can you should replace the ring and pinion and spider gears.
