Hi guys,I have sprung a leak ,it looks like on the pressure side of hydraulic pump. It's the hard piping.the fitting threaded into the pump. Before I rip it apart,is there an boring, or seal there ,thanks for the help, really appreciate it,merry christmas
Clean everything off and and try to see exactly where the leak is coming from. Line could be split or if a flare could be split or worn out.
should be a hydraulic o-ring on the fitting that screws into the pump..they get "fatigued" over time..if that's the issue, don't just tighten it , replace it...As Welder Dave said make sure it's clean and it's easier to pinpoint that leak..
Don't use your hand to look for leaks. A pinhole leak could penetrate the skin. Use a piece of paper or carboard if it's hard to see where the leak is coming from.
