im getting this machine from my neighbor its not bad the usual stuff on the repair list when we tried out the bucket it just clunks in every direction . culprit pins worn?? in the pic is a new pin on the visible side its tight but on the other side the hole its in is bigger is there a bushing missing wrong pin... should i invested in a few pins ...advisable or just grin and bear all the clunking as i dig pin swapping easy or hard ( just hammer the new pin into an old pin the way to do it ) or pop old half way out and put in new to not hammer the crap out of a new pin ??
Some buckets have bushings, some don't. Also there is (I think) a bushing in the end of the stick that could need replaced. Clunking is a sign that something is worn, maybe several somethings. Done with a bit of forethought and positioning the bucket the right way, any beating should be to a minimum. If those pins and bushing are that worn, the pins should just about slide out.
