Thinking of bidding on a 2006 590 super m They list it saying 1st and reverse work ok but problems with 2nd 3nd and 4th Any thoughts on wether it would be a trans problem or electrical
If Power Shift, a complicated electro mechanical system of hydraulic cylinders to shift, valves to control it, switches to prove a shift has been made, all hand control at steering column, Everything goes through a brain telling them what to do. Service manual gives a very complex diagnosis process.
Thks for the info Has anyone ever tried switching it back to a shuttle shift or would that not be a choice
I believe it is a different transmission. Nothing remarkable about this transmission, only a different linkage to shift. A brilliant engineer could design & build a manual shift, but at what cost? I just replaced a solenoid valve on my Case 580 Super N, near $900. Now it won't shift to third gear. The fun never ends!
