This is an older Case. Has the shift on the dash, third gear won't work has 1st and 2nd . I haven't operated the machine. Would this be a linkage problem or internal.It has the 6cyl. engine similar to the Drott 50.Any help is appreciated. Mailtrain
I think a 6-banger in a backhoe is really cool.
Those old 680's were kinda bad for shift cables seizing up. Have someone shift it from 1st to 2nd then 3rd, go under the machine and look at the shift spools. Make sure they are stroking all the way.
