Have a Deere 700h that throwing a f497 code. It's intermittent. Was told was fuel injector pressure sensor by Deere pressure tested good. Thought maybe loose connection. Checked and was tight. Strange part is only come up under a load, if you back stop, and back up it goes away. Was told the sensor tested good as well. Any ideas of what could be causing it? Like to head off problem before it starts, if there is one. Machine has 5500ish hrs. Thanks

F497 is the ECU see an open in the injection pump solenoid. Check the solenoid on the back of the pump and the wiring for good connection. You may need to replace the pump.

Check the connector on the harness side of things. Use a paper clip and see if it will fit tight into the female part of the connector. It should, if not seek your local auto parts those connectors are the same as alot of headlamp connectors.

The head light connectors I find at the parts store are the same except for the clip. I just remove the terminals from the new plug and place them in the original. Have also found the solution to this same problem at the ECM connector for the pump controller wires.

I have the Deere Terminal book that gives all the part numbers but they make you build the connector. As far as the ECU connector goes that is a hard one. I have some of those in my tool box just to show other techs. Also put some dielectric grease on connector. The pins go out the pin side of connector kind of a pain to repair. you can PM me and I can email you the book it is about 8 mb. 57M7344 is the Deere number for the connector 57M7371 Secandary Lock the grey part 57M7299 R78062 12-10 5-3 Brs* 57M7491 3.0-2.0 Brs* 57M7298 R78063 16-14 2.0-1.0 Brs* 57M7297 57M7292 18-20 .8-.5 Brs* 57M8259 1-.8 Ber/Cop S/iNi 57M8294 .50-.35 Brs*
