Yair Karlukalaska Standard method of pulling back idlers has always been to loosen off the valves, put drawbar pin or similar in sprocket and drive back carefully. Cheers.

wash it real good, cover in penetrating oil, hit it really hard lol

Are they all the way extended? Try putting a pin in the sprocket after loosening the relief and pull it back to see if it frees up. Then maybe it will extend further.

I tried that, tried heat, lube, and only yhing that moved was grease at mach 5. Lol. I took a 12 ton jack and tried today. Same result

Yair . . . Lets get this straight. We are trying to slide the idlers back on a standard oval track machine? What made the grease move at mach5? If the pin in the sprocket deal won't expel grease from the adjustment cylinders and slide them back the cylinders are not venting or something is broken or jammed in the slide block area. Maybe some one has welded some stop blocks to hold them forward . . . it seems strange that both sides are the same. I'd say forget the jack that's tiny and get some one to drive back onto that pin carefully and watch for what is trying to move. Cheers.

Are the adjusters all rusty or shiny ? If they are ll rusted up the will jam and bind . might need some cleaning up. Steve
