Officially, Cat equips their 793Ds with following bodies: Dual-Slope Bodies Flat-Floor Bodies , or Mine Specific Design Bodies (MSD II) But what about this body? The so-called "Waffled" Body . Is this only promotional or is actually used at mine-sites?? Of all, this is the better looking one IMO.
This is Cats "Performance Plus" body, sorta funny how this pic was assembly at Minexpo 04 and the body has never seriously been put in the field from what i can gather. The newer design dual slope replacement body, known as the "X" body seems to be the one they are marketing the most nowadays. PP bodies biggest drawback may have been its cost to manufacture
