ive got a cat 834 dozer with a 343 motor that likes to over heat ! does any one have any good tricks to fix this ? it has new rad and good coolent flow any ideas from you guys out in calf thanks
I would think the coolers need stripping out and cleaning, the cool water comes from the water pump through the coolers to the cylinder block, the regulators control the hot water outlet, there is often a bypass conection near the cooler feed to stop air lock, this can make the flow look good, a heat gun is a handy thing to test things with, the temp top to bottom on the radiator should change about 8 to 12 deg, but the coolers would be my first task.
