85 RM 2 serial 887

My 85 has a Ford 4 cylinder diesel. I can tell it's not the original unit from the poor fabrication. How to find what was original engine it had. Cont. or Case. I have a parts and service manual,that seemed those 2 choices but the Case could be a gas or diesel. The Ford engine is worn out,won't even either lock! Not wanting to rebuild,would rather have a gas. Thanks

    Ours had a Cont 4 cylinder on propane,

    Sorry, that was 20yrs ago, probably gone for scrap, I can remember rebuilding the engine & the velvet drive. It was abused to say the least , cheers
