Seen a add for a 863 bobcat for sell has a Duetz motor 6500 hrs . Owner states it has black smoke when started . Is this something that is serious ? Owner is asking 8k . I've used bobcats before but not and expert on them. Should I walk on or take s look

Black smoke might just mean it needs the injectors cleaned or maybe replaced. On some engines it's common to get black smoke on start up. Does the smoke go away after it starts?
