What's up, new to forum here, outta ny, just bought and 1982,953 77y ser, machine is in great shape ! Bought it to replace my 78,977l that a recently sold,, meter reads 5,400 hrs , was sitting in a garage for past 9 years in Brooklyn! Bottom , bucket,teeth,cutting, edge are all almost 100! My concern is the hystat tranny , keeps hearing mixed opinions, have owned 3 power shift dozers n loaders d3s, b and c and 931 c , just concerned down the road gunna cost me an arm n leg ! Machine is undergoing complete resto before I use it, just concern is tranny. Any opinions ? Or preventive measures I should take ? Thanks- marco
If it's a 953 you shouldn't have much trouble with the HPCU. The 43&53's lasted good the 63&73's HPCU was not much bigger and handled a lot more HP, not as durable but still good machines. Be sure to drain the filter housing before removing filter. Later Bob
