Started my machine up and cooling water temp alarm and buzzer stayed on after start up and never stopped. The temp gauge works fine. Anyone know where the temp probe is on the machine? I wonder if the switch is stuck
On bottom side of the thermostat housing facing the cooling fan there is two temperature sensors. The one with the push on connector is for the temp gauge and the one with the eyelet held on with 8mm nut is for the alarm. Also if the wire has earthed somewhere it will set off alarm
I was able to unplug the connector to the temp switch on the engine and the switch appears to be bad. There is no resistance across the switch and when unplugged, the buzzer stops and temp light turns off. Anyone have a part number for this temp switch on a 4BT3.9 Cummins?
