Looking for any advice on removing and repairing a worn out parking brake on a 988B 50w. Can it be repaired in the machine? Should I remove cab? Should we take it out near left steer cylinder and fuel tank? Thank you in advance for your help.
well i had the same problem few months ago, and the parts you need separate for take out the PB are few, is not going to be easy but i did it in 3 hours (more or less), step i did. 1 park machine turning maximum to right. 2 take out the pin (front) from the steer cylinder 3 remove plug Hyd lines (in chassis next to cylinder) and remove parking brake (thigt it very good it wheigts 100 kg) and with some help (i used 3 guys) take it out from the space you make next to the steer cylinder( maybe you need put a rope so cilynder moves a bit up)
