Hello, We have recently purchased a Cat 336FL S/N LCL10009. This unit appears to be factory built without the Aux. Hyd. option. What will the process consist of to install first a Hydraulic Cat Pin Grabber Quick Coupler and secondly Auxillary Lines Group to eventually run a Hydraulic Thumb System? I appreciate all you input.
There isn't just one "Aux Hyd option", there are various. High Pressure, Medium Pressure, Low Pressure, one-way flow, 2-way flow, etc, etc. I see 8 different hydraulic schematics, each one for a different AUX option, and maybe 20 different AUX hydraulic lines arrangements. IMO your best bet is to approach your local dealer and discuss the available options with them so that you can pick the ones you want. Then have them quote the options using Cat Group Part Numbers (v. important). You don't need to have the dealer install them. The Group Part Numbers will give a Bill of Materials to purchase the parts and either install them yourself or have someone else do it for you.
