The 988 runs great, mechanically sound, and is still a good looking machine, but it isn't practical for us to run 988s anymore, switched to mostly 980s. My question is how are 988 around that era selling domestically, or do you think trying over seas is a better option of selling it?
Our customer is going through the same thing with his 988B. A great machine but it's just too big to run anymore for the jobs he's been getting lately. He parked it at our facility for us to try and sell it for him: http://cgi.ebay.com/1983-Cat-988B-W...833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa6fb5fd9 We'll see how it goes. If we sell it, I'll let you know where it went.
