Dacro Industries built another football field long vessel and it is being hauled up to FT. McMurray. Last one was close to 2,000,000lbs. but the weight for this one isn't listed. Kind of sad that this is big news now. 7 years ago that was just your average weekly load to the oilsands. I remember when they used to stage 7 or 8 super loads south of the scales and then run them thru town in the middle of the night.
Lots of big loads but not too many that are the length of a football field. The vessel they moved in January was the heaviest load ever hauled in Alberta (820 tonne) but wasn't for the oilsands.
