Need to "borrow" some. The DHRA puts on a Diesel truck sled pull and dragrace at IRP. We build the pulling track on top of the black top return road, and tear it back up when we are done. We store it on the back 40. We just found out, that the track buried our prized clay, that we have picked rock out of for two years, with a bunch of junk, concrete, sticks, mud,e tc.:Banghead So, we need to locate some good sticky clay, and a trucking company to haul it in. Any suggestions? Thanks, Gene
I know where there's some ugly grayish-blue real clay but it's in my area of NY--Too far?
Sled Puller, contact your local quarries they have abundant supplies of clay that has been stripped and usually sell for a low price. You might contact your local NRCS office and get a list of land improvement contractors many of them build ponds etc. and have jobs where they have access to clay. Most of these contractors have trucking companies that they use frequently. Hope this helps
