Belly dump empty weight

How different is the empty weight of a dual gate belly dump compared to a single gate belly dump??

    Found out the dual gate is usually 16-16.5K. Does anybody have an empty weight on a single gate in the 40' range??

    Depends on manufacturer. Some weigh around 12,500#. We actually have one that weighs only 10,000# and it is all steel. Justin

    Our two Arnes double gated steel tandems with spoke wheels are bang on 10,000 as well.
