and maybe a little yellow. Wheel Rake to turn the hay, the kicker wheel is up when doing alfalfa, but when merging 3 rows of brome it's important to get the center row turned too. JD 935 Moco, wish my dad had bought a hydro-swing instead of side pull. The two tractors in the shop before the season, doing 1000hr service on both My ride and summertime office Happened to look down when dumping a bale, some of you should get it.
A bit of yellow... JD 450c used to build roads, drag hardwood logs out of the woods, and basic dirtwork JD 260II not much i don't use it for. Auger, bale spear, buckets, jib boom, pallet forks, tree shear, and assorted rented attachments. Helped one of my friend with some drainage problems at his parents house before he moved to NC for his PhD in smartness. We built some small terraces with the dozer and installed drainage pipe with a trencher on the SSL. Rain pipe from the downspouts to several better draining areas. The guy that did hardscaping for the new barn really messed up. It was better to build terraces in the pasture and route the rainwater elsewhere than redo it b/c his parents didn't want to rip up the new grass around the barn.
your not the only one, nice pics
Nice Pics! Nothing runs like a Deere!
here is my old Green Machine i still miss runnin it
I kinda miss running it too, LOL. I think it was sitting for the last few months out near Montgomeryville, though it's possible they have moved it by now I haven't been to that job since the middle of Dec.
A friend of mine runs a tractor set up like the above pictured with a pan or what ever that is. He works on a major reclamation project. He says that it is awsome and achieves better finish grades than most anything. Is this true?? How does this work?? I'm very curious to know how these work.
great pics
nothing runs like a deere but nothing kills a deere like a magnum.
HAHA was thinking the same thing bigblueox when i saw that 'Nothing runs like a deere' saying.
i may operate heavy equipment for a living but i got my start farming, the rest of my family still farms,i just cant seem to get along with them.so whenever i break down my machine and get the chance to reclaim i jump all over it. its a JD 8100 with a brillion seeder.
That is some ruff ground you are seeding. We have a Brillion seeder like that one and love it. We don't pull it with a tractor that large though. We use ours to plant our hay crops with so the ground looks like a sod farm does after they strip the grass nice and smooth..
i'm new here...i am going to post a thread about me in the showtime section as soon as i get the "privilege" to...and i guess i cant post attachments yet but we have some green as well...i'll post as soon as i can
the 8100 pulling that seeder is overkill, ive pulled a 6 bottom 18 in spinner plow with a 8100, 5 -6 mph, in corn, when we plowed up hay we would take a bottom off though. my dad bought a contraption at a farm sale it had some weird iron paddles in the front a set of v rippers in the middle and the back was a whole roll off of a rollerharrow, i called it the minimum till deal, the 8100 could barely pull it in corn ground. bad investment since the 8100 was our biggest tractor.
I'm just a newbie here as well but will post our JD equipment pics when I am allowed. My better half bleeds green and yellow paint if she cuts herself so owning JD is not an option on our farm. She is so "geenneck" that on our last Caribbean vacation she wore a nice bikini on the beach topped off with her favorite John Deere ball cap. Me, I just wear my Stetson and pray they never make 'em in Green and Yellow......
how come i can never find girls like that? I'm not above spray painting a stetson for a good cause.
Try again
Figured I'd post a few of my neighbors equipment. I have a few of the 2 JD Tracks he has but can't find them right now. 8130 & 1790
Wow! Great pics!! Good to see a fellow no-tiller out there. Is that tractor one of the new 30 series? Man he must be rolling in some dough with that $250,000 + setup!!!!!!!!
Let me see... Ouch!! Yes, yes I do bleed green too. We should start a club...
Yep, both brand new as of last fall. The tractor showed up a day late, so the first day of cutting corn they had to drive the combine over to trucks for every load.
we are sadly getting out of farming operations. its just too much with overhead costs anymore, dad is getting up there in age and as much as id like to contine on, its just not a do-able thing. the no-till drill was our newest peice of equipment and the first thing that sold. ive got lots of pictures to show off. the only stuff i see kepping is the '46 ford 2N (bought new the year dad was born, i believe both were "delivered" in the same month!) and the small '66 1020 deere tractor with loader. one tractor i dont have a pic for i would have liked to have kept. it was a '64 ford 4000 gas, wide front with 5 speed. ive never seen another like it. seen a few row-crop select-o-speeds, but never another 5 speed wide front. grandpa bought it new, and dad traded it for the 1020. id have put the 4000 in ag shows, no need to restore when youve got a rare model! on to the pics! '73 6600 diesel 1973 1855 oliver turbo diesel 1966 deere 1020 gas 195? ford 8N with backhoe/sherman loader 1946 ford 2N 1967 oliver n/a diesel 1950 JD "A" (who hasnt owned one of these)
That is real sad. Its so hard, sniff, to see a farmer go out like that. What you going to do in stead?
dad is retired from the phone company and drives school bus, i work as a assembler at a honda supplier factory that makes brake assemblies. i could kind of see it coming a few years back. the soaring fuel costs have pretty much been the nail in the coffin. as you could see by the pictures, most of the machinery was 30+ years old, alot of stuff for the oliver tractors is no longer available. the 1855 eats a turbo every other year, and profit margins have decreased rapidly even without upgrading machinery. its alot of effort to not get much return from. id rather dad sell equipment/land and enjoy a retirement than to continue to work away for nothing. with my work schedule, im not always able to help out, we only have about 300 acres, but thats alot for 1 person to do it all. i'll never forget growing up on the farm, the smell of fresly turned earth or the all-nighters, trying to stay ahead of the weather. id do it all again. wish it could still continue. but thats life i guess. cant support a family if your not making money.
East Moline harvester works sending out a load of new combines:usa
go green or go home nothin but deere on this farm
pics please!
My little sister(16) decided to pick me up a box of these for a lunch time snack. I though everyone would get a big kick out of them. They were surprisingly good considering how bad, grease, oil, and diesel taste.:lmao
:iagree
Well let me start off saying this is a nice site you guys have here loving it so far. Now let me say there is something the matter with you people bleeding green, red is the only way to farm.I work on my girlfriends farm and we got a CaseIH 5130 with a 5.9cummins, and CX100, and another old caseih not even sure of the model number.LOL looking at getting a MAXXUM 115 or 125 cant deside to get another mwfd or a 2wd dually.

:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy I perfer the long neckers with blue mountains on the side :drinkup I've been around these bleed greener's my whole life. Even seen some go green from red,blue,orange,etc... Haven't ever seen one go back I have my issues with the JD corp itself, but never question the green paint. It runs too deep.
How about something like this then:drinkup
Forget the coke, I'll send him some Kool-aid and the candy too. Maybe someone can super glue a nice deere hat on his head. The pink one.:lmao
funny guy:tong
Your the one posting about case and cat in the thread. There is a case tractor thread a little further down, you should put some pics up there. As for red tractors-Theres only red tractor I'd take one in yellow, but only b/c the ** dealer sucks almost as bad as deems.
already posted it do belive.
Don't you hate it :Banghead when this happens
Its hard for this New Mexico boy to imagine either that much moisture or soil depth. Around here you'd have hit solid rock long before you got anywhere near that bogged down.
I think they were trying to hide it from embarrassment "nothing runs like a Dear " , nothing should run that bad ..... gimmmmme a IH any day!
