Bobcat 773 creep

mudflapmax ยท 2008-04-05 01:16

My 773 inches forward while the control arms are in neutral. Obviously, something has lost adjustment. I note that there are two slotted control bars under the cab, but I don't know if or how they work to adjust. Has anyone fixed this problem in the past?

Those two slotted flat bars can be adjusted. Good idea is to scribe a line where they both are, then adjust from there, til you them to where you like them. I have a friend that is a super good mechanic, and happens to be the main service guy at the bobcat dealer in town. I'll ask him if there is anything else that can be done as well. Trbo

Howdy- The slotted bar adjustments are for travel, not neutral. For neutral, or creep, you have a plate on top of your pump with bolts securing two bars, one for each section. These bars or blocks as they are called, rest against the cams on the pump levers. When the pump is in neutral, both cams will contact the block, both sections. It is simpler than it sounds. The bolts rarey loosen and come out of adjustment by themselves. More often, it is worn bushings and/or other wear parts that must be replaced before you can obtain correct adjustments again. Machine on jackstands under the axles for safety, of course! Good Luck!

also look at the aluminam pintle arm they are known for loosing up on the shaft causing the machine to creep and drive eratically jack stnads under the machine are the way to do it on the ground you will just get hurt because when you release the brake it will drive and someone will get run over or hurt make sure you use your lift stop or boom stop as its called never get under the lift arms with out it they will creep down and get you i would say ask the guys its happened to but they are all dead because of it
