bobcat 864 ser#518913392 i bought this skid steer from a guy as i am clearing land at my house .. i am sort of familiar with bobcat and their hydraulic system ... but the previous person put all of the solenoids on the control valve to a 12v constant source , machine worked for a week now the lifting arm wont go down and the buvket wont tilt up ... everything else works ... and i should mention that you can operate the machine not in the seat or even without the lap bar down ..
In the machine with the lap bar down it still doesn't work? I'd look into that and check for power at solenoids when the control is activated. Maybe a bad ground or the modified system caused the solenoid(s) to fail. I had a problem with a solenoid operated dump box on a former plow truck. Zillions of complicated electronics and wires. I got a HD rocker switch and wired the hoist direct to the battery with an inline fuse. Now works all the time instead of intermittently. Thought it could have been low pilot pressure but using jumper wire from battery to solenoid worked every time. Switch allows me to use hoist in the cab instead of jumping off the battery.
