I'd like to know basic information about the Bucyrus-Erie 32-B shovel -- type of engine, bucket capacity, nominal operating weight, years of manufacture. I assume it was available with both diesel and gasoline engines, and various bucket and stick combinations. Here's the particular machine of interest. It appears to be widening a cut and improving drainage on the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad's Creede Branch, east of Wagon Wheel Gap, circa 1938. Here's a direct link to the photograph's web site, which will enable zooming in on it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/barrigerlibrary/12325947254/in/set-72157640329416244
I'll ask my father, I believe he may be somewhat familiar with them. He and his grandfather used Bucyrus-Erie cranes while building bridges back in the '60s and '70s.
