Hello everyone. I am purchasing a 1996 JCB 215 series II this week and would like to hear the goods, bars and any advice on this machine. It is a 4wd with the cab with heat and air, 4in1 self leveling bucket on the front and rear has a 4in1 swivel bucket also. It is a DOT unit so it seems to be well taken care. The hour meter reads 2300 hours and still works. Any good advice or things to watch out for?
its not uncommon to find the hour meter has stopped working in these units , its very possible it has 6000 hours and the hour meter has been replaced. Chance are if its tight its not a issue but just for warned its possible. All JCB parts are big money so when ever possible see if a aftermarket part is availible ,list price at the steelers counter is out of control .
