40+/-7 ft.lb. Make sure that you check closely the condition of the isolator sleeves & isolator washers that go over the bolts. Replace if necessary. Some of the bolts securing the oil pan are "through bolts" - in other words they don't go into blind holes. Oil can leak down the threads of these bolts and make you think you have a leaking oil pan gasket. The critical bolt hole is the 3rd one back from the front of the engine on the RH side, but best to do all of them the same way. Clean the bolt hole with contact cleaner before installing the oil pan, and apply Loctite Thread Lock to the bolts before installing & tightening.

So would you assume that because you see the oil leaking down the bolts that you don't have a leak; i'm thinking about changing my oil pan gasket; because of the reason. Would appreciate your help; thanks

If it's that particular bolt (3rd one back on the RH side) where the leak is showing, try pulling the bolt out, clean bolt and clean the threads up inside the hole really well with contact cleaner, then apply Loctite to the bolt threads and reinstall. If it stops your leak, whoopee. If not you really haven't lost anything, you're just going to have to pull the whole pan off and replace the gasket. That 3rd bolt back on the RH side is the only one that does not go into a blind hole in the engine block, so it is the only bolt securing the oil pan where oil from inside the engine can work its way down the threads and leak out, giving the impression the oil pan gasket is leaking when in fact it may not be. If the leak is anywhere else but that one particular bolt, it's the pan gasket leaking - guaranteed.
