I'm in NY. I've been reading about California air resources board (CARB) putting the requirement of a particulate filter on older construction equipment starting in Jan2014. A lot of trucks are just never going back to the state but dozers and the like that may cost more to make compliant thanthey are worth may end up as trade ins? It is a long way to truck but if there is a glut of left coast equipment that can't make the bad breath test there might be some deals. Western NEW York never had a housing boom. There is very little really good equipment around here. Any California owners making emissions based decisions?
