Was using my 1830 Uniloader to move some compost yesterday and it seemed like one of the left side chains either tried to skip a tooth or was briefly binding up. Checked the chains and they needed adjustment. The problem though is what Case calls the cluster sprocket in between the two axles. It has about 3/8-1/2 inch of lateral movement on the shaft Checked the shaft bearings and there is no play. The right side cluster sprocket is tight. Any ideas what would cause the cluster sprocket to be loose? My 1830 only gets occasional light use. Can I get away with just a chain adjustment? Thanks for any advice.
