1980' model 450B ran out of fuel. Had issues getting it primed afterwards so I changed the water fuel separator and fuel filter. Now it will crank and idle but will shut down after a few minutes of operation. Will idle for hours without shutting down. If you give it throttle it will run about 3-4 minutes then die. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'de bet there is a suction leak. It may not pull air into the system until the demand for fuel is higher.
You may be right because i primed the fuel system again and tightened both the fuel filter and water separator..it cranked and ran like new. Thank you for your response.
